Sometimes I can not find the translation keys of the English version for the French version I installed.
For example, APPEARANCE on the menu in the admin panel.
Ditto for COVER PHOTO on the Front ...
I control these corrections rather well, but there, I do not understand.

Did you ask the French language developer? Usually the language experts will update their packages. Did you find the phrases in the English pack?
We have fully translated the French part we have installed.
We prefer to do our "language" ourselves.
But some sentence can not be found.
Try APPEARANCE in English language. It does not appear when searching with the Admin Panel Tool.
When you added Appearance in the English pack, did that work?

Most times in scripts the admin area is not translated fully as only admin sees it, no members do. Please be patient as we cannot give instant answers. I will look at this after breakfast. During that time, please list things that you aren't able to translate but note again that in all of the scripts that I've tried since 2008, I've never seen any be 100% translated in the admin panel.
You can also download the free google translate plugin that I have listed for free in the certified marketplace under my ScriptTechs name as a temporary solution while you wait for an answer (once you have a list of things that don't translate).
I had no issue changing the phrase for Appearance after adding it in the language pack. Are you 100% sure that your front end language is French? That controls what you see in admin. Please go to your profile or check in the footer of your site and make sure you have selected French as your user's language for the user you are logged in as.
Whoops, on the above image I accidentally pointed to Plugins but you can see to the right of that the Appearance translated into French (per Google where I looked up the translation, not sure if that's the correct translation).
I also checked front end for Upload Cover Photo (I think that's the one you meant, if not, please screenshot it). I can change that as well after adding the phrase.
I could have been wrong, but I am very surprised.
I will watch and make tests as soon as possible.
