Hey all
wanted to check if anyone else has run into these 2 issues.
1) Signup of new users keeps failing .
- after the user goes through the final steps to signup,
the page refreshes -but nothing happens.
The user does not get signed up.
2)
We are using SEAO's Advanced Photo Album.
Upload/Edit of Photos fails even though the user is well below the assigned storage quota .
The storage quota is set at 25 Mb
The user has zero (0) photos uploaded .
- Same as above - after the user has uploaded his photo and hits save.
Nothing happens .
We've had this happen about 4 times and though it gets temporarily fixed ,
it occurs again.
Thanks
What happens with the SEAO plugin disabled?
If we disable the SEAO Advanced Photo Plugin.
gives an error while uploading...
We're sorry!

Since that particular requires the SE Photo Albums Plugin, disabling may not work like it does on other Plugins?
Ahhhh ok - I run SES's photo plugin and it is not dependant.

Thank you for appreciation James.
Thanks James ,
Will Check out SES photo plugin, looks good
Have a question James/ SES
#1Is it possible to use an SES Photo Plugin - even though we are using most of SEAO plugins (about 60 of them)
#2Will there be a conflict? has it been done before?
#3 Will it work with say SEAO themes?
#4 if we say use a photo plugin from SES and a music plugin from SEAO
will this work or will it lead to all sorts of 3DP issues?
Cause I thought we should just use 1 developers plugin not to create conflicts .
Thanks
We are still unable to solve the SEAO Photo Plugin Issue after 3 weeks.
We have a user dj@playmusician.com
That has maybe 1 MB of stuff uploaded in a 25 MB storage quota level
He is unable to upload his files
Its very frustrating as we are sure that this is a bug.
They claim that maybe the member level storage quota might have been shifted from 10 mb to say 100 mb and back , which has created the discrepency.
That leaves us with all current users in limbo as to what we should do and without a clear guideline how to fix this for all our users.
Rather than let us know how to fix this. just telling us the problem - is not going to solve it.
Hoping Donna can give us some ideas as to what would work.
Thanks
I have tested this again.
1. Set default member level to 1mb storage quota. This is using the normal file storage and not a cdn.
2. As default member, uploaded until I got the message that I had filled it up.
3. As the default member, deleted photos until I was below the quota and was then able to load more images until I filled it again.
4. As admin, set the default member level storage to 100mb.
5. As the default member, went wild uploading until I again hit the quota.
6. As default member, deleted some photos until I could load more and then loaded more and hit the quota.
7. As admin, set the quota back down to 1mb for default user.
8. As default user, deleted a few photos in order to upload and realized admin had set the quota much lower so I cursed admin and then deleted more photos. I was then able to upload photos again until I hit the new quota.
For me, this is working without any problem.
Thanks Donna,
We did the same.
What we get is current users hung at max 20 photos upload (we have set is unlimited)
and cannot upload anything else.
"had set the quota much lower so I cursed admin..."
that cracked me up LOL We know the feeling.
@playmusician: Thank you for appreciating our plugin. Please find our replies below:
#1Is it possible to use an SES Photo Plugin - even though we are using most of SEAO plugins (about 60 of them)
==> Yes. The plugin supports all 3rd party plugins, so it will work well.
#2Will there be a conflict? has it been done before?
==> There is no conflict. There is setting in admin panel of the plugin, and if you face any issues in configuring yourself, then our team will do it for you for Free.
#3 Will it work with say SEAO themes?
==> Yes, it will work with all 3rd party themes.
#4 if we say use a photo plugin from SES and a music plugin from SEAO

==> Yes, it should work fine and many clients are using mixed plugins without any issues.
If you want to use our plugins and get benefit of First Free Installation, then please get in touch with us.

Your image shows you are testing something else entirely. That is not the storage quota. That is the max photo upload amount for uploading photos in a status post I believe. This setting:
Unless you are using a plugin that allows you to set the max amount of photos a user is allowed to upload other than that feed setting shown above. Please take a look at your screenshot and the warning message shown. It doesn't say the warning that you are out of space. It says a warning that you are only allowed to upload 20 images.
I think your misunderstanding
My point is its stuck at 1% and hangs - NOT the "You are allowed to upload maximum 20 photos" message
I just circled to show what message shows up to the user and that its stuck at 1%
It never uploads.
"You are allowed to upload maximum 20 photos" is just a label BTW
and has no bearing on the photo uploads whatsoever (i checked with SEAO)
This has got nothing to do with Advanced Activity Feeds
Its about inability to upload photos by users for a particular listing
this applies to every upload though - mp3s, cover photos anything tahts uploaded
cause it all is based on the set storage quota.
(Advanced Photo Plugin & Multiple Listings Plugin )
Thanks
All we can think as a solution right now.
Is to delete all the test users (about 20) , pages - everything and build the demo site from scratch.
Cause seao mentioned that changing the storage quota from 1mb to 100 mb and then back to 1 mb
* though we didnt.
may have thrown off stuff and cause the issue.
Thats what our solution is for now - to recreate the 20 demo users , pages, listings etc etc etc from scratch
if thats the case.
Thanks
Also.
the files which are supposed to be deleted on the back end.
dont really get deleted.
So the site bloats up . With just 20 dummy users - (not much uploaded at all for these users.)
Its already at 715 MB. Which means that deletion of users files do not get accounted for based on their storage quota.
