OK, I am confused. In the thread above, Donna said:
You won't have to pay for access to the update. We do charge for upgrade service for those that don't want to do it themselves but that is optional.
However, when I went to my SocialEngine account to get the files for the upgrade, there's a message that there's a $149 fee. I'm currently at version 4.10.5.
Can someone please clarify whether or not there's a charge to upgrade? My web hosting company will perform the upgrade for me; I just need the file(s).
Thank you!
Rebecca
I was answering a client that had just purchased. We explained why we charged for the upgrade for anyone who hadn't just purchased a license.
Took a bit for me to find you the thread it's in, https://community.socialengine.com/forums/topic/2091/social-engine-php-5-0-0b1-released .
Hope that explains why we had to charge this time.
Thanks, Donna!
I am beginning the update process from 4.10p5 to 5.0.xxxxx
In my SE dashboard it says I must buy access is this correct.
Thanks
It depends on when you purchased your license. If you send a ticket, I can check.

OK Thanks - I checked my dashboard never noticed since the migration to the new dashboard alot of my older invoices are no longer there.
Oh if it is an older purchase, you would need to buy the access to v5.
Older? Not sure. I thought at purchase time it was lifetime PHP access.
All my invoices are gone in my dashboard but I have the original email receipt from my PHP purchase.
It is lifetime access. We explained in the other thread regarding the access fee.You can still access the current version your account qualifies for and use that version for as long as you want.
Thanks @Donna just checking - I understand. Hoping 5.1 is almost ready
