    Hi Daniel- what did you ended up doing? I'm using SE as the foundation for a social network-centric SAS app I'm building. So I presume that I'll need to make significant changes to the core. I do realize this means I'll have lots of difficulty adopting updates from SE, but the alternative is starting from scratch. It will be good if the experienced developers can think of ways to solve things with extensions rather than core mods, but I'll be looking for devs who know their way around the code base and can do mods when needed.
