    Hi all

Can someone explain what this function is and how it works? ==>

"You have 514 unmapped photos. Click here to remove them."

Don't want to "regret" clicking "Click Here" before knowing what it is doing on back end. :-)

    Thanks Gary

Hi Gary. You may want to bookmark the learning center as it will help you find info faster. https://www.socialengine.com/support/article/5144861/se-php-photo-albums . Hope that helps. It was added as a feature a few releases ago as large sites had so many unmapped photos taking up space. This seemed a good solution to remove photos that aren't being used on the site.

Is there a way to view the unmapped photos before deleting? Thanks Gary

No there isn't. Best option is to test on a development clone of your site. It needs to be set up in a subdomain of your licensed domain. The subdomain needs to be named development and closed to the public either via being password protected directory or via the Maintenance mode that requires a code to access. You are allowed one development site.

Another option, though much more risky, is to have a site backup done before you run the process and if it does something you don't like, restore the backup. But, restoring backups should not be taken lightly as it is only meant to be used in catastrophic events as backup restoration can cause data loss.
