making some menus not visible when not logged in

SocialEngine supports member levels allowing some portions of the site to be visible only to certain members.

When not connected, the menu Members will not be visible and that is ok as in many cases the member profile has to be accessible only to registered members.

Other menus will be visibles but might lead to a login page before viewing the content. As per exemple, the Albums content might be set in member level to be visible only when connected.

A nice feature would be to be able when defining the menu to make it visible only to logged in members. Below is an example of what it might look while editing a menu in /admin/menus

You don't want to set the setting to not show the menus to guests? It would hide all of them though.

    Hi Donna,

In fact some of the menus are to remain visibles. As an example, the Forum can have some posts that are going to be visibles to non-members like information on the organization, how to create an account, etc. while others will be visible only when connected.

Just for information, is there a way to hide all menus to non logged vistors?

    Thanks,

This sounds like a good request for an improvement later on.

You can hide menus in the Serenity theme settings if you are using that, https://www.socialengine.com/support/article/98238465/sephp-serenity-theme
