Iframely

Thank you for this new version 5.7 of SE.

However, you explain that now you will need an integration code for Iframely or install it on our server.

Just one question: Will we have to pay if we install it on our server?

Indeed, we have consulted the prices of Iframely and it is expensive.

Do you have information on this to reduce costs?

Have you decided on a date for the end of this free SE service?

Thank you in advance for your advice.

Hi Lovea, our blog and forum post also mentioned you can get free iframely hosting at BryZar. They also offer dedicated iframely hosting for only $2 per month. You don't need to host your site at BryZar to take advantage of the iframely hosting there. More info here, https://community.socialengine.com/event/43 .

If you install on your own server, you would pay your server costs. It is NodeJS so it takes configuring and knowledge of NodeJS.

The free SE iframely hosting already ended.

We contacted Bryzar.com and they are very responsive. We are waiting for the continuation ...

How do we know that once the code has been entered in the field, the system is working well?

How to test that everything is ok?

If you don't add the self hosted url or use the iframely api, and you try to share a video in the status share by clicking the Video button, or in the video section such as this video https://vimeo.com/595353526 it won't work. If you do add the self hosted url or use the iframely api, it will work.

Or you can test any link such as https://socialengine.com or https://bryzar.com and you will see an image and link preview, with the Link button in the status share. If you don't have the iframely working, no image or link preview will show.

After checking, if I load a VIMEO video, everything is ok.

On the other hand, if I load BRYZAR.COM ... error : 302 found

Otherwise, it works pretty well with most of the links we tested.

Many do not have an image but the links display well.

    Thanks again Donna.

Tested at our demo and https://bryzar.com works fine.

Are you sure you are using the default feed and not an advanced wall from a third party dev?

Curious, for us this is not displayed ...

Our wall is a SEA Addons. We will see with them where the problem comes from.

    I will keep you informed.

    Thank you
