Hi all
Upgraded to 5.8 over weekend. Activity feed, Add Link, still won't render photo from a URL? It just renders the URL string. I did the free Bryzar thing awhile back, too.
Can you clarify your question?
He's asking if the image is viewable to everyone or is it private? If the bucket is not a public bucket, SEPHP won't be able to access the image. My knowledge of buckets is not great though.
Public-facing image.
Does that image show when you test at iframely? If not, it may not be supposed by iframely.

This doesnt show an image, which is the URL off your initial post
the second image does show
https://cdn.download.ams.birds.cornell.edu/api/v1/asset/414644551/480
So just off this that second link should work butt he first will not as there is nothing there.

I just tried to edit my post above for the typo on but, however, the forum gave me a error saying I do not have permission to do that on this forum.
not sure of that's intentional or not.
You do not have permission to view this private page.
is the exact message
So the 480 I see works at iFramely, still does not render on my SE PHP site I just tried 480 version.
I looked back at your other threads as you had one before for this same issue, https://community.socialengine.com/forums/topic/2960/add-link-posting-error-appearing/view/page/2 and I had a suggestion for you in that. I had mentioned that iframely provides a subscription paid version that has more features. This url works fine with their paid version which is what you see at their test site and which I just tested on my test site. They do not provide this in their free (self hosted) version as they don't allow all features in order to get people to use their subscription. If you want that link to work, you will need their paid version, their subscription at their site for I believe $29 per month. The other option is to do what I suggested in the other thread, that I linked, if you want to share links that won't import the images.
