    Hello,

I purchased the Facebook Theme from SocialEngineAddons a while back and having problems where the site works well in Chrome and Firefox but not in Internet Explorer or in Microsoft Edge.

Other Plugins like the Advanced Activity Feed and Other boxes are open on page, and other stuff completely wrong.  I am not having any luck with SEAO and it keeps going another week and again and again and now they are not even replying back.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what the cause is?

Consider checking theme demo page with Internet Explorer and Edge to see if the issues are present there. Both browsers usually require additional work to run tests and fix issues.

Is your site upgraded to 4.10.1?

If so, is their stuff upgraded?

If not, have you tried upgrading a development clone of your live site to see if things resolve? Noting that you need to follow their steps as their advanced wall and their core modified the SocialEngine default databases which we don't recommend. Anyway, those modifications make upgrading an issue.

I haven't upgraded to 4.10.1 yet. To tell you the truth, i worried it will get worse.

    my website is www.communityshout.com

I only have one license for SE so i have not done a clone.

You are allowed a development site if it is closed to the public in a subdomain. I have mine on a local install instead but had it on a subdomain and a separate server before.

It's possible their demo is upgraded. Perhaps ask them again? I know you said they've not responded.

I will try to create a sub domain. Just need to not create anything on that domain until it is fixed.

Would I be able to copy site later and place in subdomain?

Your host should be able to do that for you. If not, you should be able to via your backup of your site files and database. Then, be sure to change the information. https://support.socialengine.com/php/customer/en/portal/articles/2019547-moving-your-website-to-another-server?b_id=14386

==> '...Would I be able to copy site later and place in subdomain?...'

Note that your SEAO Plugin(s) may then require a different License Key (which you may obtain on the Files tab of their Support page) because of using a subdomain instead of a folder.

    Oh great point!

By a different License Key, I meant for the subdomain.  Your existing domain's Key will not change.
