Would be awesome if we had a Calender Field in profile questions

    and

a Calendar widget in Layout Editor.

all hooked up in the backend (db) where Users, Events & Pages

    could share Dates & Times

An event could then include a widget with

    - member's shareable dates and times (available/busy)

A page could then include a widget with

Members and Events shareable dates and times (available/busy)

You might want to check out schedule plugin. It works with it's own events table.

The main challenge here is that there are two 3rd part Pages plugins and at least 3 different Events plugins. All from different developers and with different feature.

In our plugin we have made add event feature available for other users. So it could be used to request an appointment at a specific time on some user page (ex. doctor, car repairs, etc) and get it confirmed by that user.

There are a couple of widgets - profile and group widget. The second one allows display of schedule of few users on the single calendar (useful for schools, sport clubs).

Please only use certified plugins as those have been tested to work and we don't allow links to non certified now (@Eugene, please certify your plugin).

@Playmusician, Please update this feature request to have the details required in the stickied post at the top of this forum section if you want it considered. Please note we only accept one request per feature request. This has several.

@Donna I can understand about the marketplace, but why it's not allowed to post a link to own plugin if it fits the requested needs?

We have never let any client high and dry with support in case plugin required it for the new SocialEngine version. But it will require time to certify all plugins. I expect some less popular plugins might remain non-certified.

Please reconsider this policy for the forum. If it's not allowed to post links to valid non-pirated plugins - questions from users will remain. They will ask them elsewhere risking get a plugin package from some shady website (possibly compromising own setup)

Eugene, it's best to discuss this in private so as not to derail this thread further. There is an expert area for feedback that you should use.

    Thanks Eugene.

    Will check it out.

    Donna,

Some features cannot be slotted into a binary 1 feature request.

a good example is a widget PLUS a profile question field which interacts with Users, Events & Members.

It can get complex becuase of the feature request which is interdependent on other things being built.

Its very limiting to have only 1 feature per request sometimes.

    Just putting it out there...

    Thanks

Strongly agree, but also strongly agree that 'multiple' requests in one makes it difficult for SE to approve/code, as they may choose one but not others.

You may find this helpful: What I've done sometimes (doesn't apply for every situation), is title the request and outline details in such as way as to encompass more 'items' into 1 'request'.  For example, I submitted an email/notification revamp FR.  There are numerous inter-related components to this, but since it was all part of the request to 'revamp email/notifications' SE kindly allowed it.  Sometimes, it's simply worthless to provide inter-related components as individual FRs because one without the others is sort of useless (like a wheel with no tire, or a tire with no wheel).
