Is there a way to turn off commenting for specific feed types?

I am finding that when someone posts in the forum of our site another member may respond via commenting on the feed notification which does not carry back to the forum... making the topic look dead in the actual forum.

I am running SES advanced feeds and the stock forum.

@James, This feature is not in the feed as you can only disable comments for a particular feed and not based on the feed type.
But, customization can be done to serve the purpose. Let us know if you wish the custom work.
