Copyright is such an important issue these days. You may have noticed that in our site, we have the copyright showing from 2007- current. This is so that we are protecting all of our content from the very beginning. But, what you probably didn't know is that we set it to auto update every year! Would you like to do that too? It's pretty simple.

    1. In the admin panel, navigate to Appearance > Language Editor.
    2. Click to edit the English language first. You will follow this for each language pack you have on the site.
    3. Search for Copyright.
    4. Change it to the following and save:
    Copyright ©2007 - %s

If you want to further protect your specific content such as blogs, etc, you can use the free or paid service from DMCA. They give you a badge for the site and widget code to add in an html block on your site content pages. That's just one example. You'll want to test that on a development site as it could interfere with features on your site. They do have a no badge option for sites that need it. There could be other places that offer the same. Perhaps search for one that works best for you.
