The Groups Plugin page allows you to manage all the Groups in your network, determine the Global and Member Level Settings for your network, and manage Categories.
In your Admin area, go to Plugins > Groups.
Select Groups to view or delete. They are categorized by “Title”, “Owner”, “Views”, and “Date”.
To view the Group's page, click on the "view" link under "Options" for the Group you want to view.
You can delete an individual Group by clicking the "delete" link on the right side of each row under the "Options" column.
You can choose to delete multiple Groups at once by using the checkboxes on the left side of the table and the "Delete Selected" button at the bottom. Checking the checkbox in the blue title bar will select all the checkboxes in the list below it.
To get to this page, click on the "Global Settings" tab. “Global Settings” control the universal settings for Groups and differ from “Member Level Settings” which control Group settings per member level.
Determine how many groups will show per page by entering a value in the input box.
BBCode is a type of code that is popular with forum or bulletin board software. You can choose to allow or not allow members to use BBcode on any of your Group discussion posts.
The ability to add styling or links or media to a post with the use of HTML tags can be allowed or not allowed within any of the Group discussion posts. If you choose to Allow HTML tags in your Group discussions, you will still need to set which HTML tags are allowable in the Member Level Settings section.

When your members create a Group, they are given options for Group Privacy, Group Posting Options, Photo Upload Options, and Event Creation Options. These options can be determined by you. For example, you can select them all so that during Group creation members can choose to have "everyone" view their Groups, post comments, upload photos, and create events, or have "friends only" view their Groups, post comments, upload photos, and create events.
Set the options for who can view Groups they make. Such as:
“Everyone” which allows guests and logged in users to see the group.
“Registered Members” which allows all logged in members of your community to see the group.
“Members Only” which allows only members of the group to see it.
Posting option privacy is as follows:
“Registered Members” allows all logged in members of your community to post to the group.
“All Members” allows all members of the group to post to it.
“Officers and Owner Only” allows just the officers and owner of the group to post to it.
Set whether to allow members to set Network Privacy for their groups.
You can allow your members to edit the styling of the Group page with CSS. If disabled, the Group will use the default style of the site.

By default the ability to use any HTML in discussion posts is disabled. If you would like to allow a member to use HTML in their discussion posts, you will need to list the tags you would like to allow in the field below. An example would be: a, b, img, font, etc
Note: there is still a pre-programmed list in the source code that limits the allowed HTML tags in an entry. If you would like to see the list of forbidden tags, please refer to the /application/libraries/Engine/Filter/Html.php
file. These tags were forbidden to prevent the corruption of the site's styling; however, if you would like to take any of the tags off the list, you are more than welcome to at your own risk.
Make sure you click the “Save Changes” button (seen above) when done changing settings.
Create categories if you want to allow your users to categorize their Groups. In order to get to the Categories page, click on the "Categories" tab in the Groups’ menu tabs.
This feature is useful if you want to list all of your members' Groups. If you have no categories, your users will not be given the option of assigning a category. Another great use for categories would be to create a category just for your Group, so that it would be easily searchable in whichever add-ons you have available for your Group such as Photo Albums.
To edit a Category Name, click on the "edit" link under the "Options" column for the Category whose name you want to change.
It will open a popup just like the one used to create a Category. When you have finished making your changes to the Category Name, click on "Edit Category" to save your changes.
To delete a Category, click on the "delete" link under the "Options" column for the Category that you want to delete.
It will open a popup asking if you are sure you want to delete the following Category. To delete the Category, click on the "Delete" button.
