Photo Albums

  • The Photo Albums Plugin page allows you to manage all of the Photo Albums in your community, determine the Global Settings and Member Level Settings for your community, and manage Categories for Photo Albums.

You can reach the Photo Albums settings area in your Admin panel by navigating to Plugins > Photo Albums.

Manage Photo Albums and Global Settings

    View Photo Albums

The “View Albums” tab shows all of the Photo Albums in your community.

    Viewing an Album

To view a Photo Album, click on the "view" link under "Options" for the Photo Album that you want to view.

You will then be redirected to the Photo Album's page.

    Deleting Albums

You can delete an individual Photo Album by clicking the "delete" link on the right side of each row under the "Options" column.

You can choose to delete multiple Photo Albums at once by using the checkboxes on the left side of the table and clicking the "Delete Selected" button at the bottom. Checking the checkbox in the title bar will select all of the checkboxes on the list below it.

    Global Settings

To get to this page, click on the "Global Settings" tab.

    Remove unmapped photos

If users upload photos but don't save them, this can create unmapped "orphan" photos in the system. When this happens, a notice will show that allows you to delete the unmapped photos. Here's how it looks if there are unmapped photos (you will not see this if you have no unmapped photos).

To remove the photos, click the "Click here" and all unmapped photos will be removed.

This only works for photos that were added to the system more than 24 hours ago.

    Albums and Photos Per Page

Determine how many photo albums and photos will be shown per page by entering the number you want in the input boxes.

    Make default albums searchable

Choose whether to make the default albums searchable or not. If set to no, albums that get created by default like Blog Photos, Forum Photos, etc will not be displayed in the album search results and widgets, but will still be displayed in the Profile Albums tab on a member’s profile page. Click “Save Changes” when done.
