Couple Questions New to the Forums

    Hello Everyone. I am new here so I probably will be posting quite a fe questions till things get running smooth lol. Hope you all are having great days.

    Banner Size. I was thinking about changing banner size. What seems to be the most common size most users use? 

     

    My Site right now only displays the site name. So I want to make sure the logo fits properly with the banner. 

    Also favicons. I know I saw a link to where I can make one but cannot find it anymore or can I just make a favicon (png etc) and change the extension to ico? if it is 15px x 15x?

    Welcome David! Do you mean the banners mentioned here, https://community.socialengine.com/blogs/597/67/banner-manager? The tut says 1200 x 300 and I believe that is correct but you best option is to use inspect element and see what size as well. Note that a responsive theme will show different sizes though.  The banners I made for this site are 1130 x 420 so you would want to experiment with your design.

     

    I use The Gimp free software to make my stuff as it saves to ico. Here's the tutorial for where to change it, https://community.socialengine.com/blogs/597/24/general-settings and the ones I make are 31 x 31. Hope that helps
