Hello all.
I would like to add questions to the account deletion page, so i can have an idea of what cancelling users are looking for that we dont have yet.
Has anyone tackled this issue before? if so, how did you do it?
Is there a specific item you used int he layout editor that would allow me to easily do this?
You may want to use one of the certified GDPR plugins for this maybe?
I've not added anything to the deletion page for my site.
I suppose you could perhaps use one of those online survey tools and use an html widget/block and put the link to the survey in that. It could work ok perhaps.
Due to the new gdpr and account deletion policies, I believe they both might but it's best to ask both SES and SEAO to see if they have this feature or perhaps if they would add it.

Thanks Donna. Do you know of which GDPR tool allows account deletion questions?
Hello MWL, our Professional GDPR plugin enables you to have Forget Me option on your website. You can find the request in the admin panel and can take action accordingly.
You can purchase the plugin here: https://www.socialengine.com/marketplace/app/professional-gdpr-plugin .
You can find link to detailed screenshots in the App Support section of the plugin page.

Hi @MWL, our "GDPR Compliance Plugin" lets users Abolish their Data from the Website by filing a request and sharing their concerns in the Abolish Data form, which will then be forwarded to the Admin for Review. "Abolish Data" option is easily accessible from the Privacy Center Page provided by our plugin.
As Admin, you can add new fields (like Reason, etc) in the Abolish Data Form. If you want, you can change the text of "Abolish Data" to "Delete Account", and then delete account as admin after you receive Abolish Data requests. We believe this should meet your requirements.
If you want to add a field like "Reason" in SocialEngine's existing account deletion functionality, then customization will be required to it.
Please visit our plugin's page to know more about its features & to check its screenshots: https://www.socialengine.com/marketplace/app/gdpr-compliance-plugin .
